COMPUTER SCIENCE (420)- CYBERSECURITY: PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION AEC (LEA.D8)
The Cybersecurity: Prevention and Intervention program empowers professionals to defend digital assets and respond effectively to cyber threats. COMPUTER SCIENCE (420)
- Bachelor's or equivalent* degree in Computer Science
- Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered
- Minimum of 3 years appropriate professional/industry experience
- Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
- Excellent English communication skills essential
- Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.
*EQUIVALENT ESTABLISHES A GENERAL COMPARISON BETWEEN TWO OFFICIAL EDUCATION SYSTEMS
THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR CYBERSECURITY: PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION
- Cybersecurity certification such as, but not limited to, CISSP, CCSP, CEH, GSEC, GISP, CompTIA Security+, OR, 3 years industry experience as a cybersecurity specialist. REQUIRED.
- Networking/Cloud certification such as, but not limited to, CCNA, Cisco security certifications, or vendor-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). PREFERRED.
- Experience teaching at the post secondary level. PREFERRED.

- Cyber Defense
- Conformity Assessment
- Vulnerability Management
- Intrusion Testing
- Cybersecurity Incident Management
- Business Cybersecurity Management
Note: In accordance with art. 4-4.04 of the Collective Agreement, the Selection Committee may, exceptionally, recommend to the College that pertinent additional professional and/or industrial experience be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirement. Candidates to be considered under this option must have completed at least the equivalent of a DEC or AEC. Education superior to the stated minimum requirement may be substituted for professional/industrial experience at the discretion of the selection committee.
